PAQUETTE, Sylvain, POULLAOUEC-GONIDEC, Philippe and DOMON, Gérald (2009), Québec Landscape Management Guide: Reading, Understanding, and Enhancing the Landscape, MCCCF, Québec, 96 p.
Thanks to the collaboration of the Ministère de la Culture, des Communications et de la Condition féminine, the publication, entitled “Québec Landscape Management Guide. Reading, Understanding, and Enhancing the landscape” is now available to interested audiences nationally and internationally, thereby allowing an extensive dissemination of the unique expertise developed in Quebec. Responding to the communities’ urgent need for tools for landscape management, the reference work provides concrete information on landscape diagnostics, regulatory measures, and awareness-raising tools, as well as examples of good practices concerning the protection, enhancement, and development of landscapes; all based on sustainable development principles. Planned as a “toolbox,” this management guide is founded on more than 13 years research led at CPEUM in collaboration with its principal Quebec partners of the public, parapublic, and private sectors.
